A woman resident of Bulandshahr died after being hit by a canter on January 1 evening near the Commissionerate Headquarters located on the bypass near Quarsi intersection in Aligarh. She was returning home from her maternal home in Nagla Dalchandra. During this time, people caught the fleeing driver, beat him and handed him over to the police.
55-year-old Kunti Devi of village Kamauna of Bulandshahr Chhatari had come to her maternal home Nagla Dalchandra two days ago. On the evening of 1 January, she was standing near the Commissionerate Headquarters on Quarsi, waiting for the bus. Then the canter coming from behind hit her, due to which the woman died on the spot. During this time the crowd gathered caught the driver and handed him over to the police. The woman was also brought to Deendayal Hospital but could not be saved.
Here, family members also came after getting information. Post mortem of the dead body was conducted during the day. The woman has seven children in the family. The family members were in bad condition. Here, the youth from Hathras who was injured in the accident died. It has been told that 35-year-old Ashish alias Gaurav, resident of Dandeshwari village of Sikandrarau, Hathras, was injured in an accident on Kasganj Road. From there he was brought to Aligarh. Died in a private hospital there. The police has conducted post-mortem of the dead body.
